Two verification types: simple (Yes/No) or date of birth (age computed client-side)
Configurable minimum age (18 / 21 / custom) and cookie remembering
Targeting per product and category in an own table, core never altered
Accessible overlay (ARIA dialog, focus trap, keyboard), customizable texts/colors/logo
Note: a client-side gate is a diligence/UX measure, not a strong legal barrier
